[ 1947 ] George Marti gets construction permit for KCLE AM in Cleburne, Texas. Based on his experiences in the ensuing years, he develops remote pick-up (RPU) equipment. |

[ 1960 ] Marti Electronics, Inc. officially launched by George Marti in Cleburne, TX to design, build and sell RPU equipment. |

[ 1970 ] Golden West Broadcasting purchases Marti STL equipment that remains in use for more than three decades. Read what Laverne Siemens, GWB's director of engineering, has to say. |

[ 1994 ] Broadcast Electronics purchases Marti and operates it as a separate division. |

[ 2000 ] Marti introduces the Plug N Play range of low-power FM Transmitters. |

[ 2001 ] Marti's manufacturing and support operations consolidated into main BE plant in Quincy, IL. |

[ 2006 ] Cal Zethmayr of WAAZ, Crestview, FL calls this rig "Radio a la Carte". A Sears tool cart, that is. The 30-something Marti M-30BT RPU did more than 30 remotes in 2006, providing public service and generating significant income for the station. |
